Fort Sumter National Monument
Posted October 24, 2008 by Ima Local
Parents should bring their kids because it’s introduces them to a part of history, the civil war.
Some of the attractions are big canons spread around the park and a maze of tunnels.
A good time to go is almost anytime except for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s when the park is closed.
It is located in the middle of Charleston Harbor, and you will have to take a ferry to get there.
